Own and scale Accounting Operations

• Take full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, accruals, provisions, reconciliations).
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure correctness of the balance sheet, including fixed assets, inventory, provisions, and intercompany positions.
• Maintain clean and auditable accounting records in line with German GAAP (HGB).

Systems, Processes & Automation

• Drive the implementation, optimization, and daily use of Odoo as TYTAN’s core accounting and ERP system.
• Own accounting-related system setups (chart of accounts, journals, workflows, controls).
• Integrate and manage tools such as Moss (or similar spend/expense tools), bank interfaces, and supporting systems.
• Identify and implement automation and AI-supported solutions to improve processes.

Intercompany & Transfer Pricing

• Handle intercompany bookings, reconciliations, and settlements across TYTAN entities and maintain audit-ready documentation. 
• Ensure accounting treatment aligns with existing transfer pricing agreements.

Compliance, Audits & External Interfaces

• Act as the primary accounting contact prepare accounting data and documentation for external audits, tax advisors, and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, filings, and documentation obligations.

Collaboration & Financial Support

• Provide high-quality actuals data to the FP&A team (P&L, cash movements, balance sheet drivers).
• Support management with accounting-driven analyses and explanations (e.g. balance sheet movements, accrual logic) and work closely with Head of Finance.

Build the Accounting Team

• Establish clear roles, processes, training standards, and documentation within the accounting function.
• Shape the future accounting team structure and operating model, act as mentor to junior team members.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–7+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in startups, scale-ups, or complex environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with German accounting standards (HGB); IFRS exposure is a plus.
• Experience owning closing processes and working with auditors.
• Practical experience with ERP systems — Odoo experience is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with spend/expense tools such as Moss, Pleo, Spendesk, or similar.
• Strong Excel skills and interest in automation and modern, AI-supported accounting workflows.
• Hands-on, structured, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent in German and English.
