TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.
As TYTAN grows, we are building our secure digital foundation from the ground up. We are looking for a Junior IT Security Engineer to join our team in Munich and support the implementation of essential security measures and administrative IT systems. You will work closely with the Head of IT & Cybersecurity and help establish secure infrastructure for our growing defense business.

Your roadmap to make an impact

Implement and maintain IT security measures and internal tools in accordance with upcoming BSI/ISO requirements.
Operationalize IT security across departments by working with engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
Support the rollout of secure systems for code repositories, authentication, data storage, and collaborative work.
Assist with access management, system monitoring, and incident handling in a structured and auditable way.
Document key systems and practices in support of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and BSI IT-Grundschutz.
Coordinate with external consultants or vendors supporting IT/cybersecurity certification and implementation.

Who you are

You bring 2+ years of hands-on experience in working or implementing IT security plans, preferably in tech, aerospace or defense industries.
A degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (or equivalent practical experience).
Familiarity with IT security and compliance standards, especially BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO certification.
Ideally, you have obtained or are working toward certifications such as CEH or CISM.
Experience working with IAM, network security, and endpoint protection tools.
A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
